I’m taking part in August Craft Month…
August Craft Month is an island-wide annual celebration held every August across the Republic of Ireland and the North of Ireland. Jointly organized by Design & Crafts Council Ireland and Craft NI, it features hundreds of workshops, exhibitions, demonstrations, and markets that let the public see, make, and buy local handmade crafts.
So, catch a ferry from Doolin or Rossaveel,, or a plane, over to Inis Oírr, Aran Islands, in Co. Galway to learn more about the art of quilt making with Mary McCarty at McQuilties Studio (every Saturday in August) 1-3pm, mary@mcquilties.ie
